Armless Captain looking over side of ship at a sailor with no arms, hook on one arm, standing in a dinghy named the Hand in Hand. At top left in a rectangular box Treagear's / Flights of / Humour / No.40 ; inscription below picture London Pubd by G S Treagear 123, Cheapside / SHIVER MY TOPSAILS MATE LEND US YOUR HAND / I WISH YOU MAY GET IT. Some mildew damge. On back a white label with black type ARTISTIC PICTURE FRAMES (underlined) followed by standard framing information / JAMES HUDD, CARVER AND GILDER, / FINE ART DEALER , PAINT SELLER. / (in red) 7, CHRISTMAS STEPS, BRISTOL.
