Oil painting on canvas, Antony Gibbs (1841-1907) by John Henry Lorimer (Edinburgh 1856 – Edinburgh 1936), signed and dated: 1879. A three-quarter-length portrait of Antony Gibbs of Tyntesfield, in a black coat and trousers, holding a shotgun, with a black golden retriever beside him.

Painted by the artist at the age of 23 in 1879; purchased by the National Trust from the estate of the late George Richard Lawley Gibbs, 2nd Baron Wraxall (1928 – 2001) with the assistance of the NHMF, Art Fund and donations from members and supporters in 2002
