Summary
Rusty metal, approximately cruciform, component of an item of model railway rolling stock, locomotive or tender. Possibly related to a brake mechanism. There is a cube-shaped block with a pointed top at the end of the longest bar of metal, the transverse piece has a square cross-section and carries two forward projections. One is thin, short and fixed towards the outer edge, the other is larger, longer and with a slight hook or catch at the outermost end and is centrally fixed. It has small cylindrical spurs at either end, possibly to locate it in a chassis.
