Summary
Very dark green painted wooden part-cylindrical piece, probably of a model railway locomotive. Only the top curved surface is painted. A large central hole is drilled through the object and surrounded on the upper surface by a boss. A small rectangular hole is also visible. The underneath shows evidence of having been worked by a chisel to create a variety of recesses and carries a number of scribed construction lines, two of which intersect at the centre of the drilled hole. Originally secured in place by three screws, two of which are still present partially unscrewed and standing proud of the upper surface. The third screw hole is empty.
