Summary
Earthenware soup plate with cobalt blue and gold banding around rim. Base marked with maker's trademark in blue of a unicorn bordered by sprigs of laurel and underneath: ALFRED MEAKIN / ENGLAND. This has been overstamped in gold with the wording: DECORATED BY / ALFRED CLOUGH / ST LOUIS WORKS / ?TON. Base also impressed with the number 1. Chipped on rim.
