Oil painting on canvas, The Hon. Richard Edward Lawley (1887-1909) by William Edwards Miller (fl.1873 – after 1929), 20th century - possibly painted (posthumously) from a photograph. A three-quarter-length portrait, in brown trousers, green shirt and long white cravat (scarf) and holding a gun, upright in his right hand.

By inheritance, through the sitter's sister, The Hon. Ursula Lawley, Lady Wraxall, second wife of George Abraham, Baron Wraxall; purchased by the National Trust from the estate of the late George Richard Lawley Gibbs, 2nd Baron Wraxall (1928 – 2001) with the assistance of the NHMF, Art Fund and donations from members and supporters in 2002
