Summary
A pipe or tube bender and a pipe vice, mounted on a 4-legged wrought iron frame with lead weights on some legs. Pipe bender marked 'CAST HILMOR 3'. Vice marked 'RECORD 91 1/2', 'Made in England'. Chain and locking pin. Hilmor started in Sheffield in 1926 with just one product, a tube bender. At the time, hilmor cold-form benders were the first of their kind for plumbers.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
