Summary
George III Black Shagreen and Silver étui, late 18th century. Case flattened oval section tapering from top, silver rimmed top and base, button to side, hinged lid, engraved monogram to underside. Pierced plate retains various implements, 16 items - (1) silver spoon, hallmarked. (2) needle silver coloured. (3) tooth pick silver coloured. (4) fork with screw for attachment. (5) ruler silver coloured hinged at middle. (6) pen holder tubular metal. (7) pencil attachment (with pen holder). (8) tweezers and file silver coloured metal. (9) two slivers of ivory hinged together with metal rivet. (10) scissors with retractable handles silver coloured. (11) dividers silver coloured metal. (12) knife blade pointed (steel) with screw attachment. (13) knife blade rounded (steel) with screw attachment. (14) octagonal cylindrical silver coloured metal container for threaded handle, with removable top. (15) octagonal tapering silver coloured metal handle for various implements, with removable top, (containing corkscrew). (16) metal corkscrew silver coloured, with screw attachment.
