Summary
Oil painting on board, Carriages in a Park, by Alexander Ritter von Bensa (Vienna 1820 – Vienna 1902), signed bottom right A. Bensa (AB in monogram). The 'chavalier de Bensa' was self-taught, and only took to painting later in life. He specialised in military scenes, and was particularly patronised by the Austrian Imperial family. Pendant to WIM/P/105. Carriage drawing.

Bequeathed by Elsie Kipling, Mrs George Bambridge (1896 - 1976), daughter of Rudyard Kipling, to the National Trust together with Wimpole Hall, all its contents and an estate of 3,000 acres
