Summary
A pair of mahogany cabinet doors, English, early 19th century, probably from a sideboard. Each of well-figured mahogany veneers applied with beading forming a 'panel' with concave corners. One door fitted with a good quality three barrel brass lock.
Provenance
Date of acquisition not recorded, but almost certainly acquired by George Bambridge (1892 - 1943) and Elsie Bambridge (1896 - 1976), who purchased a largely empty Wimpole in 1938. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Elsie Bambridge.
