Summary
Bust, hard paste porcelain, miniature scale, square base with socle, the man facing towards his proper right, wearing a short curled wig, with open shirt with frilled collar, probably Royal Naples Porcelain Factory, 1780-1790; decorated with coloured glazes and overglaze enamels, the skin in naturalistic tones, the wig in light grey and the shirt puce, the collar left in the white.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
