Summary
Milk or cream ewer , hybrid porcelain, ‘Low Chelsea’ form with no distinct foot, the body moulded with spiralling leaves, the rim with uneven scallops, a high profile handle with thumb spur, New Hall, Staffordshire, ca 1783-6; the exterior painted in overglaze enamels with a spray of pink and yellow flowers with green foliage, the inner rim with a double border pattern, diamond fretwork in puce above and blue dentil border below.
Provenance
Part of the Bambridge Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976 by Mrs Elsie Bambridge (1896-1976)
