Summary
18th century Long Case clock in walnut 12 inch lacquered brass dial with separate break arch. Centre matted, subsidiary seconds above centre, date aperture below. Silvered chapter ring, boss, date ring and subsidiary. Gilt spandrels, urns on dial, dolphins in break arch. William Dowell Swan, Margate engraved to either side of VI, MAR … GATE below in minutes ring. Circular boss in arch with engraved eagle. The hood having an arched pediment with three gilt gesso ball finials with pointed spires. Circa 1715-1730.
