A pair of George II console tables of ebonised wood with sienna marble top, the frieze decorated with Vitruvian scrolls, supported on a carved gilt eagle with outstretched wings mounted on a black wooden base.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Government in lieu of inheritance tax and allocated to the National Trust for display at Rievaulx Terrace, 1972.
