Basin stand veneered in Cuban mahogany; top has six recesses of varying size to receive powder boxes, soap dishes, etc, and one large recess for a basin; lid of two side wings, one of which requires re-attaching; behind the basin an adjustable mirror fitting down behind the basin and raised by counter weights; a single sham drawer at the top; underneath this a cupboard with broken catch to contain the water jug; beneath this two false drawers which pull out to reveal a lead-lined recess to receive waste water; eight thin square plain legs; handles oval-shaped brass
