Summary
Mahogany basin stand, for powdering wigs, an open ring of wood mitred supported the basin and its tiny water bottle resting on three open scrolls linked by triangular shelf; this shelf with two small drawers was for the domed wash bowl holder; below it again three slender turned pillar legs linked by a small triangular shelf, slightly dished to receive the water bottle when the basin was in use and resting upom three scrolling legs on pad feet rather tha ball and claw
Provenance
Now part of the collection on loan from Bradford Museums, originally this was part of the Clapham Collection, items bequeathed to Keighley Corporation by John Clapham (along with Utley House, Keighley) in 1946.
