Summary

Lead water cistern. Frieze of leaves top and bottom. Two panels with raised double borders, each containing a Griffon crest. The letters CBB (centre B raised above other two letters) centre top.

Provenance

Purchased by Sir Robert and Lady Mary Witt for the garden at Alfriston Clergy House. Willed on the death of Sir Robert Witt with the tenancy of the Clergy House to Miss Thyra Creyke-Clark and given to the National Trust on her death in 1974.
