Summary
A large European flat oyster shell (Ostrea edulis), or gold-lipped pearl oyster. The interior of the shell is smooth and pearly white, laid on top of the outer shell for all but the outer edge. The exterior surface has concentric ridges which have overlapping scales towards the edges. There is no indication of the shell's provenance. .
