Summary
A small sample of tuff from the Lake District Borrowdale Volcanic Group. There is a label stuck to the sample, Marked by hand in ink "Borrowdale Yews", which is a specific location made famous by the poet Wordsworth, where there is a grouping of ancient Yew trees, believed to be between 1,500 to 2,000 years old and which lies at the head of the Borrowdale valley in Seathwaite.
