Summary
A typewritten letter addressed to Matilda Talbot from Jonathan Cape Limited and dated 3rd June 1937. The letter is confirming they received a cheque for £3.12.0. sent by Matilda and they are sending the two books that Matilda did not receive. At the top of the letter is a blue paper receipt for the money sent. The receipt has an orange King George V, two pence stamp stuck to it. This receipt was also attached to the letter with a small metal pin. This document is one of eight (CMS no.1990327 - 1990334), found paperclipped together, and are correspondence between Matilda Talbot and Jonathan Cape Limited about the purchase and sale of 'Good Things in England' book for the Display of Traditional Cookery.
