Summary
A rectangular cardboard sign with 'Rye Bread' handwritten in block capitals, in black ink. Underneath, also in black ink but underlined in red ink is 'Made by Irving's Bakery. Penrith Cumberland'. Handwritten in the top corners is 1852 on one side and 1937 on the other. This was used as a label at a Traditional British Food event, held in 1937, and organised by Matilda Talbot.
