Summary
Twelve reels of cotton threads, wrapped around a piece of white card. The cotton threads are all various shades of brown. All the ends of the cotton are caught between two pieces of paper which has 'Commencing to use any particular cut the strands clear from paper strip' printed on it. The card has 'Gaiety Mending' printed in blue on it and the sides are wavy for the cotton thread to be wrapped around. This was stored in a leather needlework case (CMS no.1989414). This object was found in a mahogany table (CMS no. 997561.1).
