Summary
A black and white photograph of a elaborate, palladian style, pretend brick arch stretching over a road with buildings each side. The arch has four marble like columns and is decorated with statues and shields. At the top are the words 'HAIL GRAND MASTER' and 'TRUTH' and 'JUSTICE' on either side. It is likely this dates from the late 19th century and was part of the celebrations for Queen Victoria's Jubilee. This photograph was found loose, tucked in to a photograph album (CMS no.1989127.1). There are four more photographs, found together, which feature pretend arches.
