Summary
Oil painting on panel, Elizabeth Blount, Lady Thomas Pope (formerly Basford, Later Paulet) (c.1515–1593), British (English) School, mid - to late 16th century. A three-quarter-length portrait of a lady dressed in black and pearls. She married secondly, on 1 January 1540, as his third wife, Sir Thomas Pope (d. 29 January 1559), founder of Trinity College, Oxford. The original of between 1540/60 has been at Trinity College, Oxford since 1612 along with three other copies.
