Summary
Glass beer mug with hinged pewter lid and thumb grip in elaborate scroll shape. Enamel centrepiece inset into lid, decorated with painted coat of arms of the Polytechniker Ruderclub, Zurich (Polytechnic Rowing Club) consisting of an anchor and crossed oars with blue and gold banners below and the motto Kraft, Einigkeit, Freiheit, Gesundheit (Power, Unity, Freedom, Health). Inscription on base dating to 1884/1885.
