Summary
South American fixed hand-held feather fan in box. One of a similar pair with NT18633.1). Circa 1900. Mainly pink and green feathers in a circular shape decorated with irridescent mauve beetles and a red humming bird. One broken stick (NT18633.1.1). Carved and pierced mother-of-pearl handle, damaged and repaired with decorative metal brace.

Purchased from the estate of the late Lord Wraxall with the assistance of the NHMF and donations from members and supporters.
