Summary
Cream silk knitted men's stocking, with a sewn in label on the inside reading: George A. Gibbs. Decorated with a knitted vertical arrow on either side of the ankle, and a knitted 'W' and knitted symbol (possibly a battle-axe) at the top. One of a pair. Elements of a Royal Household uniform worn by George Abraham Gibbs as King George V's Treasurer of the Household 1921–1928, after his appointment as Baron Wraxall in 1928. Found stored in cardboard box from Huntsman & Sons: NT18492.6
