Summary
Ebony veneered box inlaid with ivory. Lid is decorated by crossed keys. The front of the box has a small keyhole with decorated escutcheon. The base is covered with green baize. Inside, the lock mechanism is marked, CHUBBS / PATENT / 57 ST PAULS (indistinguishable) / LONDON / CHUBB (and) SON / MAKERS TO / HER MAJESTY / 740173.
