Summary
A George III mahogany chest with crossbanded top, fitted with four long graduated drawers on bracket feet with rolled leather castors.
Provenance
Possibly the ‘Handsome Commode Chest of Drawers’ invoiced for £12 by Messrs Vile and Cobb on 29th July 1758, or the ‘Neat MahogY Commode Chest of Drawers’ invoiced by them for £12 on the 26th May 1759. Loaned to The National Trust by The Croome Heritage Trust in December 2007.
