Summary
A pair of George III mahogany and fustic concertina action card tables with crossbanded rectangular green baize lined folding tops, the plain legs of triangular section and with pierced C-scroll brackets, the hinges stamped H. Tibats; both with plate glass tops.
Provenance
Possibly one of the pair of card tables invoiced by Mayhew and Ince to the 6th Earl of Coventry on 13th March 1775 and described as ‘2 Mahogany best Card Tables with folding Frames line’d with superfine green Cloth’. Loaned to The National Trust by The Croome Heritage Trust in December 2007.
