Roman Republic, plated denarius (imitation) of L Pomponius, Mint of Narbo, 118 BC. RRC 282/4 The reverse inscription (in the exergue) appears to read VIIC PN CIOM rather than L LIC CN DOM. The carnyx in the design has also been incorrectly rendered by the engraver. [J4 spit 2 SF51; context (10)/(11)].
