Clock pendulum. The pendulum for controlling the main mechanism of the mechanical clock in the tower of the stable block of Penrhyn Castle. It is a circular cast-iron disc weight with curved faces, and is connected to the top pivot (fixed to the building) by a wooden shaft. The motion of the clock mechanism is transmitted by a horizontal wrought-iron shaft below the top pivot. The weight is painted green.
