Summary
Locomotive plate. A rectangular, brass maker's plate, from a railway locomotive, no.1721, built by Andrew Barclay, Sons & Co. Ltd. in 1921. The plate has a polished brass raised border, inner oval border and lettering, and there are two fixing holes. The background is painted red. The locomotive was a 0-4-0T No.36 (originally No.42) at Beckton Gas Works, Essex. It was scrapped in 1961.
