Summary
Locomotive plate. An oval, brass maker's plate from a railway locomotive, no.7474, built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns Ltd. in 1949. The plate has a polished raised border, raised inner oval border, and lettering, and the background is painted red. There are two fixing holes. The locomotive was a 0-4-0ST No.14 at Beckton Gas Works, Essex, and was scrapped in 1962.
