Surrounded by cream coloured backing card and edged with gold painted wooden strip on which is printed, MISS WALLACE. / AFTER G. ROMNEY. The frame is black lacquered wood with gold decoration. There are two labels on the back. The top label reads, THOS. AGNEW AND SONS /MANCHESTER. No. 7482. PARIS. 14, EXCHANGE STREET, 22 PLACE VENDOME / LONDON / 43, OLD BOND STREET / PICADILLY. W1. The lower label reads, MISS WALLACE. / Painted by / GEORGE ROMNEY. / Engraved by / NORMAN HIRST. / Published by THOS AGNEW AND SONS, / LONDON, MANCHESTER, PARIS AND BERLIN.
