Summary
Ministerial dispatch box belonging to Sir Charles Stewart Henry Vane-Tempest-Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh and 7th Marquess of Londonderry, MP (1878-1949) A blue leather covered box with a brass handle and hinged lid. The lid embossed with the cypher of George V, 'The Royal Comission on London Squares' and 'The Most Hon. The Marquess of Londonderry KG MVO' The case unlined and stamped in ink on the inner side of the lid 'John Peck & Son /Manufacturers / to H.M Staty. Office. The 7th Marquess Londonderry was appointed chairman of the Royal Commission on London Square in 1927
