Summary
Candlestick, part of one of a pair of 18th century Portuguese cast silver-gilt three-light candleabra, maker's mark R.C. linked, Orporto, circa 1770, in mid-18th century English style, the hexafoil bases with shell motifs and coloured borders have knopped and fluted stems forming a candelabra with a three arm branch with central bud finial and drip-pans and sconces conforming to the candlestick.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013
