Summary
A George III silver soup tureen, Robert Calderwood, Dublin, circa 1760, later engraved on one side with the crest of the Marquess of Londonderry and on the other side with the arms of Vane-Tempest, below gadroon rim and above the rococco scroll headed volute supports, end handles, the domed lid has a pomegranate finial (damaged and patching to the sides).
Provenance
Accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, 2013
