Summary
A Blackburn Skua, an assembled and handpainted 'Skybird' model aircraft. Kit number 17B, 1938. A rounded body with wider propeller base at the front. Wings angled up at the outer edge and attached to the lower edge of the body. Raised plastic cockpit, some areas painted grey, some left clear, divided by hand painted black lines. Painted gunmetal grey body with silver wings and tail fins. Roundels on top and bottom of wings and side body radiating red white blue. Number 9 of a large collection of painted wood and early plastic 'Skybird' aircraft models and others, mostly 1930s to 1940s.
