Summary
A Grumann F2F, an assembled and handpainted 'Skybird' model aircraft. Kit number 16B, 1936. Biplane, silver fuselage with red stripe, red engine cowling, wings silver except upper surface of top wing which is yellow. Upper surface of upper wing and lower surface of lower wing carry American air force markings. Both sides of fuselage carry letters 2F2. undercarriage badly bent. Number 27 of a large collection of painted 1:70/1:72 wood and early plastic 'Skybird' aircraft models and others, mostly 1930s and 1940s.
