Summary
A Westland Wapiti K3451, an assembled and handpainted 'Skybird' model aircraft. Kit number unknown, circa 1930s to 1940s. Painted metallic silver with a gloss black section on top half of body and a red section side body, the latter hand lettered 820. Red propeller tip and wheels. K/3451 on tail, partially illegible; hand lettered on hand painted vertical stripes red cream blue. Hand painted circles on wings radiating red cream blue. Number 20 of a large collection of painted 1:70/1:72 scale wood and early plastic 'Skybird' aircraft models and others, mostly 1930s and 1940s.
