Watercolour and pencil with scratching out on paper, The Delhi Gale of the Red Fort, Agra, India by John Varley the elder (Hackney 1778 - London 1842), signed and dated at bottom left hand corner, John Varley 92 [1792]. Unframed on cardboard. View of Red Fort, Agra. Inscription on reverse reads, The Delhi gate of the Fort / Delhi. White label on the back reads, T.J. LARKIN. Off-white cardboard mount for same with bevelled inner edge. Damp stains. Plain off-white plywood frame and backboard. Damage to bottom right corner. Two small nails in top of frame and two metal rings on frame for hanging. Numbered on reverse of backboard, SS7CS. The glass for this frame is loose but stored with frame.
