Summary
Painting. An oil painting on canvas, head and shoulders portrait of Lady Katherine Agnes Blanche Carnegie, Viscountess Tredegar (1867 - 1949) wearing greed, with a fur collar, by Ambrose McEvoy (Wiltshire 1878 - London 1927), c1920. She faces to the right, in front of a green background. Within a very modern, plain obeche wood frame, painted to look like bole, with silver painted site edge and outer edge.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
