Painting. An oil painting on canvas, three-quarter-length seated portrait of Evan Frederick Morgan, 2nd Viscount Tredegar (1893-1949) by Ambrose McEvoy (Wiltshire 1878 - London 1927), 1919. He sits with his legs apart, resting his arms on his thighs, his hands clasped between his legs, wearing a dark suit and a green tie.
Provenance
Given by Mrs Joanna Yorke, 1973. On loan from National Museums and Galleries of Wales. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
