Summary
Painting. An oil painting on canvas, of a three-quarter seated portrait of Sir Charles Morgan, 2nd Baronet (1760-1846) by William Owen, RA (Ludlow 1769 – London 1825), 1810. The sitter faces to the right. He is wearing a brown tail coat, grey breeches and a yellow waistcoat. He holds a top hat in his right hand.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
