Summary
One of a series of colour photographic cards showing left and right pages from a small mediaeval book in the collection of The British Museum. The left page shows a section of Latin script with a dancing man playing a fiddle in the left margin. In the bottom margin is a figure dancing. The right page shows more Latin script. In the bottom margin is a woman dancing, while a child watches. In the right margin is a figure playing an early form of bagpipe. Identified at the bottom 'B. 369', 'Musicians and dancers.' 'Stowe MS. 17, ff. 233b-234. Flemish, circ. A.D. 1300. (Actual Size)', 'Published by the Trustees of the British Museum'. On the reverse is 'Printed in England by Waterlow & Sons Limited, London'
