Summary
One of a series of colour photographic cards showing left and right pages from a small mediaeval book in the collection of The British Museum. The left page shows a section of Latin script, with a woman crouching and holding a stick. The right page shows more Latin script. In the bottom and right margins is a scene with several different types of farm animals, including geese, hens and ducks. There is a tall pear tree to the right with a large fox with a hen in it's jaws. In the tree is someone picking the pears and putting them in a basket. Identified at the bottom 'B. 367', 'Raiders in farmyard and orchard.' 'Stowe MS. 17, ff. 209b-210. Flemish, circ. A.D. 1300. (Actual Size)', 'Published by the Trustees of the British Museum'. On the reverse is 'Printed in England by Waterlow & Sons Limited, London'
