Summary
One of a series of colour photographic cards showing left and right pages from a small mediaeval book in the collection of The British Museum. The left page shows a section of Latin script with a man in the left margin playing a tabor. In the bottom margin is a jousting knight on horseback. The right page shows more Latin script with a man in the right margin blowing a type of trumpet, while a jousting knight on horseback is in the bottom margin. Identified at the bottom 'B. 358', 'Knights jousting; pipe and tabor, and trumpet', 'Stowe MS. 17, ff. 95b-96. Flemish, circ. A.D. 1300. (Actual Size)', 'Published by the Trustees of the British Museum'. On the reverse is 'Printed in England by Waterlow & Sons Limited, London'
