Summary
Silver propelling pencil with purple coloured stone inset in the top. Hexagonal shaped body with engraved decoration around the outside. The central sliding band extends and retracts the internal pencil mechanism. A metal ring is attached to the centre, which would have originally held a chain to facilitate wear. Purple stone is likely a foil-backed paste jewel made from leaded glass.
