Summary

Mourning brooch with dark plaited hair encased. The plaited hair is fixed in a rectangular glass and metal case in the middle of the brooch. It is surrounded by a black border and then a gold coloured metal frame which has a floral design. On the reverse is inscribed in italics: Harriet Mundy died 14 Jan 1824. Aged 16ys & 6ms. Also on reverse is a mount and loop for a pin but the pin is missing.
